Our newest tour showcases the majestic power of nature both harnessed and unleashed. You’ll begin with a trek across the Mojave Desert in a luxury tour trekker to an imposing 6.6 million tons of ingenuity and innovation: the Hoover Dam. 

Providing power to Nevada, California and Arizona, Hoover Dam stands over 725 feet tall and was built to last 1,000 years. A photo stop just across the border in Arizona captures impressive views of the dam’s massive spillways and intake towers. Each spillway can handle the flow of Niagara Falls!

Your certified adventure guide will lead you across the dam’s crest to the Winged Figures of the Republic and the Observation Deck for stunning, 360-degree views. It’s incredible to see 4.5 million cubic yards of concrete molded into a gravity-defying bow. 

Venture below deck to see the inner workings of the Power Plant. Walk through original construction tunnels with expert guides from the Bureau of Reclamation and see the eight commercial generators of the Nevada Powerhouse from the viewing platform.*

Thoroughly wowed, the tour will depart across the Mojave Desert for Valley of Fire State Park – Nevada’s first and largest state park. Covering over 40,000 acres, your expert guide will show you the best the park has to offer. 

You’ll see Atlatl Rock where, thousands of years ago, indigenous people created mysterious artwork that is still visible today. Stone cabins created in the 1930s provided respite for travelers and offer a picturesque showcase of the stunning colors and sculptural formations of Aztec Sandstone.

It’s one photo op after another with stops at Rainbow Vista and White Domes. Don’t be surprised if these formations look familiar – you may have seen the Valley of Fire in films like Viva Las Vegas, The Professionals, Star Trek: Generations and Transformers. 

The Valley of Fire tour culminates at the Visitor’s Center for souvenirs and fascinating exhibits about geology, ecology, and history.

Know Before You Go

• Children under 3 are not permitted on this tour.
• Tour stops include a lot of walking, sometimes on uneven dirt paths
• Atlatl Rock includes an 84-step staircase to a viewing platform; some petroglyphs are visible at ground level
• Guests with limited mobility can stay in the vehicle at stops and still enjoy beautiful views

*Should access to the Hoover Dam Generator Room be restricted by the Bureau of Reclamation, the tour will include stops at the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge and the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum.
